Enzo Amore as WWE Cruiserweight Champion is a love/hate relationship for this writer.

On the one hand, Enzo is now playing a full-fledged heel, so using shortcuts and cheating to win a title is perfectly acceptable. It riled up fans Sunday night and produced a groan from behind this keyboard.

However, there is the additional frustration that Enzo really, really is annoying, and not in a “boo that man” sort of way. Combine that with a lack of ring prowess and it makes it tough to make this a pure positive. Instead, let’s give this a tepid “down” and hope that some luchador style rubs off on Enzo.

But for now, the TV will likely go on mute when Amore is on the microphone.
