They might be riding a bicycle out to the ring these days, but New Day absolutely is in cruise control.

The trio had been one of the most entertaining aspects of Raw for a good while, but they’ve now delved so far into self-parody that it’s become painful. They are the perfect example of an act desperate for a change of scenery (hence the subject line), and they seem to know it. That’s why they feel like they are just treading as WrestleMania approaches, where they will host the biggest PPV of the year.

But in the meantime, it’s obvious that the trio is coasting week to week, which drags their segments down. New Day deserves so much better than this, and hopefully they will get new life on SmackDown after Mania, because the longest-reigning tag champs in WWE history becoming obsessed with ice cream is just sad. (But kudos to them for making bank off merchandise in the process.)

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
