6 Ups And 8 Downs From WWE Elimination Chamber 2015

With only a two-week build, fans could be forgiven if they weren€™t expecting much from the Elimination Chamber special event on Sunday. It was an awfully short turnaround, but WWE managed to put together a solid six-match card that delivered just enough to make it worth your while. Interestingly, the matches that made Elimination Chamber a must-see affair did not take place inside the chamber. Although both chamber matches disappointed, the appropriately hyped champion versus champion match between United States Champion John Cena and NXT Champion Kevin Owens more than made up for every other match on the card. Throw in a solid WWE World Heavyweight Championship match and Elimination Chamber made for a nice surprise special event in-between Payback and Money in the Bank. Still, the fact that Elimination Chamber was €œsaved€ by two matches should be concerning for WWE. The Divas matches still aren€™t measuring up to their NXT counterparts, and despite have numerous tag teams, the tag division is a pretty bland scene once you get past three or four teams. There€™s a plethora of talent on the roster right now, and in the right mix, WWE is capable of putting together a solid PPV. But this special event should be a cautionary tale of how important good booking is. So what popped up and what got its attitude adjusted? Let€™s find out the ups and downs from Elimination Chamber.
