6 Ups And Downs For Last Night's WWE Raw (March 2nd)

WrestleMania is almost here, but WWE continues to spin its wheels.

Welcome to an exciting episode of Raw is Rollins. With just four weeks until WrestleMania, WWE clearly has its main matches lined up, even if several haven€™t been formally announced. The game the company is playing is trying to string things along and build to the announcements shortly before Mania so things don€™t sputter between matchmaking and the matches themselves. Unfortunately, that means that everything that happens between now and then involves a lot of strange wheel-spinning. We know John Cena will face Rusev in a rematch, but WWE has to stretch it out. Randy Orton is going to get his comeuppance on Seth Rollins for the curbstomps last November. Damien Mizdow is going to stand up to the Miz. But none of these matches have been declared, and in two of their cases, they are a few steps away from even being announced. As a result, Monday night€™s Raw offered fans no real revelations, just a little more forward motion to let us know that WrestleMania is getting closer. At some point, WWE is going to have to pull the trigger on these matches and announce them, right? Sure, WWE likes to note that WrestleMania itself is the selling point €“ not any one particular wrestler or matchup €“ but the card that€™s announced right now isn€™t even worth $9.99 right now. So with WWE drifting downstream toward WrestleMania, let€™s find out what made the cut and what was left out on Monday Night Raw.
