Who will leave with the World Championship when the world changes for Impact Wrestling?

Impact Wrestling have adapted tremendously well thus far throughout the duration of these no crowd shows. Both the weekly shows and the two-part Rebellion in April have offered something worth talking about week in and week out. However, they're now faced with something that has proven to have differing results for WWE and AEW - their first empty arena pay-per-view.

Surely there's no need for them to worry, of course, considering the card they've put together for the event, alongside the amount of teases they've been offering as we approach the 18 July event. It's near impossible for this show to fall flat on its face given all the hype it has. The tagline, "our world will change", is enough of a talking point in itself really.

Five huge championship encounters have been scheduled, including the guaranteed crowning of a new World Champion, as Ace Austin, Eddie Edwards, Trey, and a mystery fourth man battle it out for the currently vacant title. Willie Mack, Jordynne Grace, and The North defend against Chris Bey, Deonna Purrazzo, and The World's Most Dangerous Tag Team respectively, while Moose puts his TNA World Heavyweight Championship up for grabs against Tommy Dreamer. All of that, plus a Knockouts Championship number one contenders Gauntlet Battle Royal, and an open challenge from Dez and Wentz.

It's going to be a monumental night for Impact, no matter the outcome. Let's get to it...

Whether it's Jordynne Grace or Deonna Purrazzo who leaves Slammiversary as the Knockouts Champion, their next challenger will have already been determined with a number one contendership Gauntlet Battle Royal. With the potential for a few surprises in here, it's easily a dark horse to be one of the more talked about matches.

At the time of the writing, the following competitors have been confirmed for the match: Taya Valkyrie, Rosemary, Kiera Hogan, Tasha Steelz, Havok, Nevaeh, Susie, Kylie Rae, Madison Rayne, Alisha Edwards, and Kimber Lee. Seeing as this is essentially a showcase of the entire knockouts division, the match could easily be used to elevate multiple participants, win or lose.

In terms of surprises here, the likes of Gail Kim and The Beautiful People have been teased in the build to the pay-per-view, while Taylor Wilde was reportedly set to return to the company at March's Lockdown special before the world went into shutdown. However, one of the more lowkey surprises could be a proper return of Su Yung. Susie was showing a potential transition back into 'The Undead Bride' on this week's Impact Wrestling, something that could very well make for one of the lesser talked about surprises coming out of Saturday's show.

Winner: Su Yung
