7 Most Insane Things Happening In Wrestling Right Now (Nov 3)

It is happening again.

Wrestling and social media make for strange bedfellows. The very nature of the medium, a platform to use YOUR voice, undermines the idea of a kayfabe wrestling persona we are meant to accept as the 24/7, 365 real deal.

Kevin Owens possesses the best Twitter game because his verbal troll shutdowns are perfectly in keeping with his character. The man has eviscerated all comers with his devastating use of the word "dumbass" - the dumbest of which was one Alex Riley.

In something of an indictment of the WWE creative regime, the Feud of the Decade was penned well beyond the confines of the writer's room. Riley displayed Incoherence, Incompetence and Idiocy - the reverse three 'I's - when attempting to match KO's next-level wit. Riley failed to grasp that regular and unleaded petrol are one and the same - which put him in the drivers' seat for Worst Wrestling Twitterer Ever. This week, a new contender emerged.

Not every wrestling personality is a Knock Out Artist on Twitter. Some, like Goldust, tell their fans to shut up, like, and make sense of the nonsensical WWE product. Some, like Road Dogg, toe the company "wins and losses don't matter" line, shooting themselves in the foot.

Others...

7. Eurgh, What A Rush

OR: Eurgh, what a bloody idiot.

Emma, alongside Darren Young and Summer Rae, was released from her contract this week. Twitter reacted to the news with the requisite shock and consolation. Except for Lio Rush. Lio Rush made an abysmal kayfabe joke at her expense. "I guess these are the things that happen when you're not TRULY ready for Asuka," he tweeted as, all around the world, palms slapped faces in unison.

Rush was already in danger of triggering his new company when he was stupid enough to no sell a ridiculous ladder plunge at a CZW show. Transgressing tradition, he has now taken to transgressing upon the locker room code. It's basic common sense and decency, really. The joke wasn't entirely malicious, but you just don't make light of somebody you work with losing their jobs - especially when contracted by WWE, a company in which you have to shake every bugger's hand at all times. What's next? Is Rush going to lobby for Chris Benoit's Hall Of Fame induction? That isn't as satirical as it should be...

Rush displayed an astonishing lack of common sense. Perhaps that table spot did scramble his brains, after all. Or maybe he simply doesn't have one.
