There is absolutely no surprise that Hulk Hogan would feature heavily in a list such as this. If wrestling ever had a Game of Thrones, the Hulkster would undoubtedly be its greatest player. One of the worst cases of Hogan literally taking over an event to fulfill his own interests was Starrcade 1994.

It was the biggest show of the year for World Championship Wrestling. And in a pre-Monday Night Wars era, these served as the key needle movers for the promotion. So naturally one would expect the company to position its biggest and most over stars to take the main event spot, right? Not so fast with Hulk Hogan around.

Around this time, Hogan’s best buddy and wrestling’s greatest hair stylist, Brutus the Barber Beefcake, or as he was known here, the Butcher, happened to be in WCW. Hulk then worked his backstage magic and managed to shoehorn the Butcher into the main event. Despite having guys like Sting and Vader at their disposal, the company gave in to Hogan’s wishes and booked the two best friends, not you Chuckie and Trent, to compete for the world title. As you can imagine, it did not go so well.

After battling Galactus and pinning Hulk Hogan in the main event of Wrestlemania, I've taken a break from living in fantasy worlds, to focus on writing about them. I'm a comic book geek, a wrestling mark, a break dancer, and a scientist. One of those things may not be true.
