7 Most Ready NXT Stars To Call Up To WWE After WrestleMania 31

It's time for the new generation to shine.

WrestleMania is coming up and as we know, WWE likes to reset things every year around their biggest issue. It's as if the WWE calendar ends at the big event and then begins the next night on Raw. That usually means that they want to hit the reset button on certain things while also bringing in some new talent. It has been said recently by Triple H on several occasions that WWE doesn't necessarily see NXT as a developmental brand. They want it to be another brand that can tour around America and maybe other parts of the world too. It's great to think that way, but it's still going to be the show where talents have to work before they become regulars on Raw and Smackdown. A year ago after WrestleMania, WWE made the decision to call up Rusev, Lana and Paige to the main roster. All of them had success with Paige winning the Divas Title on her first night while Rusev is currently the US Champion. Not all NXT call-ups are that successful - just look at The Ascension, Emma or Adam Rose - although the hope is that they will be. Who is ready for a call up? There are several people that come to mind. NXT may be as good as it has ever been right now, so it's a situation where WWE has to be happy with having so many options A guy like Hideo Itami is a tough case. In terms of talent, there's no question he would fit in well on the main roster although there are definitely concerns about what kind of character he might have and if he would be booked in a strong way. It might be better for him to stick around on NXT for a bit longer. Here's a look at seven current NXT stars that could be the next ones called up to WWE's main roster right after WrestleMania or soon thereafter.
