Adam Cole pointing at himself as the brilliantly obnoxious Undisputed Era theme music plays has become the thinking man's "ADAM COLE, BAY-BAY" in recent weeks.

It betrays Cole's mantra of unity and strength amongst his troops, whilst staying completely loyal to his persona as self-obsessed scum bag. Winning the North American Title at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans provided the all-gold aesthetic the group needed to establish themselves as the developmental brand's premier threat - how he's been booked since has been all about tacitly separating him from the chasing pack.

Cole's entire presentation scream's 'WWE Superstar' when the crowd aren't shouting out his catchphrase. He may even be the one immune from the NXT call-up curse, a performer actually better suited for short bursts on Raw rather than long matches on critically acclaimed undercards. Causing a scene before the 'Biggest Party Of The Summer' is something new, too. People have become conditioned to sterile call-ups after major shows, Cole making the leap ahead of time could be the perfect introduction, especially if forced to work double duty across the main roster and NXT until his title commitments are taken care of.

A heel, he fits naturally as a credibility-booster for any of the flailing babyfaces on either roster. Plus, they're browbeaten enough that he can believably win, too. The symmetry with his debut in the same building one year earlier gives the moment added charm.
