7 Reasons Why The Rock Will Wrestle At WrestleMania 31

7. He Really Wants To Wrestle His Cousin Roman Reigns

The Rock has always been close to his family. He talks about them all the time. When it comes to current WWE star Roman Reigns, he always seems to mention how proud he is of him. Much like The Rock, Reigns was a college football player. He had a very brief run in the NFL, but that didn't work out and he moved on to wrestling just like Rock did. What Reigns also has in common with Rock aside from being a part of the big Samoan wrestling family is that he's risen to the top fairly quickly. Remember that Reigns made his WWE main roster debut at Survivor Series 2012. In less than two years he's shown so much improvement that he's probably going to be the WWE Champion within the next year, possibly at WrestleMania. When The Rock made his main roster debut it was at Survivor Series 1996 as a babyface. After that didn't work he turned heel in 1997 and then at Survivor Series 1998 he became the WWE Champion just two years after his debut. It was one of the fastest rises to the top in WWE history. While Reigns may not be his first choice (that appears to be Brock Lesnar), you know he would be high on Rock's list if he got to pick. It would probably be a face vs. face type of match, but it would be a big enough deal that it would work. The only thing that would prevent it would be that Reigns is likely involved in WWE Title picture at WM31, so they might not be able to do it.
