7 Reasons Why Steve Austin Was A Bigger Star Than Hulk Hogan

Well ya know something brother...that's the bottom line cuz Stone Cold said so!

There was a magic moment that opened up WrestleMania 30 earlier this year. We knew that Hulk Hogan was going to return to WrestleMania as the guest host of the show. That role really didn't mean much as it turns out, but it allowed WWE to create that opening that we'll never forget. Hogan was in the ring doing a promo welcoming us to WrestleMania and of course we won't forget when he said Silverdome instead of Superdome. Then Steve Austin came out. He wasn't advertised, but it leaked online that he would be there. The crowd got even louder. The Rock walked out too and it was an amazing visual to see these three guys in the ring together like that. When The Rock was in the ring facing Hogan and Austin he delivered this speech: "When I look across this ring I don't just see two of the biggest legends all time - no, no, no. When I look across this ring I don't just see two of the biggest icons of all time - no, no, no. When I look across this ring I see my good buddy 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and I see my childhood hero 'The Immortal' Hulk Hogan and without a shadow of a doubt - and I mean this from the heart - I look across this ring and I see without question the two biggest names in the history of the WWE." He made a great point that night by calling them the two biggest names in the history of the WWE. It's something that has led to a lot of discussions from fans as well as people in the wresting business. They're the two biggest stars, but which one of them is the bigger of the two? A case can be made for each of them although in this writer's opinion that title belongs to the Rattlesnake. Here are seven reasons why "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is a bigger star than Hulk Hogan.
