7 Reasons WWE Won't Bring Kurt Angle Back

It's true, it's true.

TNA.comTNA.comKurt Angle is in the news again because of his appearance on the Jim Ross podcast where they talked about Angle's career, his injuries, his alcohol addiction and the big piece of news was that Angle's TNA deal expires in September. Angle also admitted that while TNA has offered him a new contract, Angle has so far turned it down because he wants to see what all of his options are when he's a free agent. Angle mentioned that his next contract would be his last one. That makes sense because he's in his mid-40s and there's only so many matches left in his career. His days as a full time wrestler that performs on every TV show are over. It's nice to hear him admit that because he worked such a rigorous schedule for so long that it would be foolish for him to take on a heavy load. His status right now is that he's recovering from ACL surgery on his knee. While he's out, he's serving as the on screen Director of Wrestling Operations (or GM) for TNA Wrestling. He noted in his discussion with Ross that he's probably going to be able to wrestle again in October although that's not a sure thing. While a lot of WWE fans want to see Angle back "home" in the company that made him famous, there are a number of good reasons why WWE should avoid bringing him back. Obviously Angle's a Hall of Famer and deserves to be recognized as such, but they can do that without giving him a deal that sees him get into the ring. There are plenty of reasons why he will or won't go back to WWE. Looking at things from WWE's perspective, here are seven reasons why WWE won't sign Kurt Angle.
