7 Superstars Whose Gimmicks Started As WWE Fans

WWE.comWWE.comThere are a lot of ways that a wrestler can debut in wrestling. If they're a big name from somewhere else then perhaps a video package would work. When they are starting out as a completely new character after failing as something else then they might get introductory like we've seen guys like Fandango, Adam Rose and Bo Dallas receive. Sometimes, though, these wrestlers end up debuting as nobodies. You can probably remember the occasions when guys or girls show up as fans while the announcers freak out wondering who that person is. If you're a "smart" fan you might know who they are, but if you're a casual fan then you likely have no idea who it is. As the weeks and months go by, we end up learning more about these people. Of course they are wrestlers. We just didn't know it at the time. The recent retirement of an active WWE star that debuted as a fan has got us thinking about other instances where Superstars and Divas debuted as fans that just happened to have the skills to be wrestlers. There are actually a number of times when this happened in WWE history, so here's a look at seven times when WWE performers started out as fans.
