7 Troubling Signs For WWE's NXT Call-Ups

5. Long-Term Plans

Along those lines, what are the plans for these guys? They all just randomly showed up on Raw Monday night with minimal fanfare (or as much fanfare as you can build up in a couple hours) and all had their debut matches.

Thankfully, all four men won both their bouts this week, but you have to wonder what the immediate future holds for them? Given that the original plan was for Ricochet to face Finn Balor (a no-win, Kobayashi Maru situation if there ever was one) and the fact that Triple H wasn’t clued into the call-ups, then it’s safe to assume that they weren’t called up to the main roster with any plans beyond this week.

If that’s the case, that’s very concerning. We’ve seen this show before, where NXT superstars are called up without any semblance of a plan for them. Remember how Apollo Crews was brimming with talent in NXT? Where is he today?

Granted, the four men called up this week are arguably more “complete” superstars and are too talented to fail, but the lack of a strategy for how to utilize them is only going to hinder them.

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
