The work Daniel Bryan has done to put over talent after (and during) WrestleMania has been nothing short of spectacular. The brilliance and longevity of Daniel’s career have led to him having the ability to near-instantly put some significance on an up-and-coming wrestler’s push. And we saw that most recently on SmackDown with Buddy Murphy.

Pinning Daniel Bryan clean is an excellent way to get even some of the more casual eyes to pay attention. And with this ongoing storyline extending past this week of SmackDown, we could very well see a rematch in the near future. And anybody who saw them on SmackDown is surely happy to hear that.

And hopefully, they will continue to allow them to tell the story in the ring as well. Nobody wants to see Buddy just continuously beat up by Rowan after every victory. Let Daniel and Buddy duel it out with no interference and let the matches themselves get him over.

That is exactly the type of natural progression you want to give to someone who is getting pushed. Not a rocket ship straight to the moon, but rather building the rocket to see if it will get there.
