7. The Ultimate Lie

In 2005, JBL said that The Ultimate Warrior was “An unadulterated piece of crap” and “an absolute piece of s**t.”

Why did he say that? Well, because Warrior referred to JBL's co-worker Droz as a “cripple.” And now, Eric LeGrand, a paralyzed former college football star, is being given the Warrior Award at the Hall of Fame. How does no one in WWE see how messed up that is?

For anyone who paid attention to Warrior's career, they realize that line wasn't just a one time a**hole moment either. There were lots of really offensive things he ranted about in his spare time. He made hateful comments about homosexuals, he was an arrogant d**k in regards to people suffering from the effects of Hurricane Katrina. He seemed almost gleeful over the death of Heath Ledger, as well as Bobby Heenan's cancer diagnosis. WWE doesn't care. He had neat arm tassels!

Besides obvious choices like Chris Benoit and Jimmy Snuka, there probably aren’t too many wrestlers who have ever been employed by the promotion who are less deserving of having an award named after them. Someday this will catch up to the company, and they’ll change the name of the award or get rid of it entirely. But for now, they continue to push a bulls**t legacy for someone who never deserved it.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
