7 WWE And NXT Divas Lana Should Wrestle After Summer Rae

WWE's not ruining her character, really.

In the kayfabe world, Rusev and Lana are still happily linked up, but everyone could see the inevitability of their on-screen television split coming. Much like Marc Mero and Sable before them, Rusev became the angry, jealous man who couldn’t stand that his woman was getting a bigger share of the spotlight than him.

Rather than get back with Rusev, Lana has been a strong female character, a rarity in WWE. She’s repeated time and again that she has to stand up for herself, and that’s what she’s done. In the meantime, she’s also found a new beau in Dolph Ziggler. While Rusev groveled and threw countless tantrums in the quest to get Lana back, he’s since given up and moved on.

Rusev found comfort in the arms of Summer Rae, who he’s using as a replacement for Lana. The two Divas recently came to blows on Raw, getting into a hair-pulling cat-fight. Surprisingly, Lana, whose wrestling skills (if any) remain a mystery, held her own.

It seems like only a matter of time before the tensions between she and Summer culminate in a match, most likely on the SummerSlam card.

Whether Lana does well in this hypothetical bout, if she’s going to have a career as a performing Diva, she’ll have to learn the ropes literally and figuratively. By facing some talented Divas in NXT and WWE that won’t leave her down for the count too quickly (like Sasha Banks or Charlotte), Lana can show that she’s more than just a manager.

7. Eva Marie

Eva and Lana have something in common, in that they’re both not too familiar around a wrestling ring, at least not from what little we’ve seen. Miss All Red Everything has trained her heart out with Brian Kendrick after taking all of those “you can’t wrestle” chants personally.

Recently, Eva Marie has begged NXT general manager William Regal for a chance to be on that show’s women’s roster. Regal insists that she has to prove herself (another way that she’s similar to Lana).

Seeing both women in the ring coming up together at the same time could be very interesting. Lana would probably do best wrestling on NXT for a while anyway.
