7 WWE Entrance Music Themes That Were Total Rip-Offs

Entrance music in wrestling is very important because it helps fans connect with the performers that we watch in the ring. It's something that WWE has always done a good job with over the years. We know when the gong sounds that it's Undertaker time. When the glass broke, Steve Austin was on his way to kick somebody's ass. A good song helps a performer. A bad song can hurt more than you might think. What's interesting about WWE's long history is that they've actually recycled some songs over the years where somebody new inherits the music of a person that we previously watched in the ring. WWE's theme music has been handled by Jim Johnston for over 25 years now and because of that there are likely dozens of songs in the archives that they could use. The songs that we're looking at are ones that started in wrestling and used by wrestlers. Guys like Ric Flair and Randy Savage used traditional songs that we know from everyday life, but they weren't considered wrestling songs. Here's a look at seven examples of WWE using a theme song for something or somebody that ended up as the music of another individual.
