8 Burning Questions For WWE Raw (June 29)

With two special events coming up, how will Raw play out?

When WWE Raw airs on Monday night, the promotion will be pushing toward two special events simultaneously, something that only really happens during WrestleMania season right after the Royal Rumble €“ before the annual February PPV takes place. But we could very well see WWE plugging both the upcoming Battleground PPV in three weeks, as well as a unique special event taking place halfway around the world. WWE is touring Japan during the July 4th holiday and is doing a show from the Ryougoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo. What makes this live event special and worthy of being broadcast on the WWE Network is that Brock Lesnar will be competing on the card. WWE seems to have hit on the fact that Lesnar€™s first in-ring appearance since WrestleMania could be a big draw, and has pumped the card up a little with an NXT Championship match between champ Kevin Owens and Finn Balor (who made quite the name for himself in Japan as Prince Devitt). The two events are seemingly taking place independent of each other, but WWE still needs to build interest for both while keeping its focus on Battleground. If it feels like an eternity between PPVs for WWE, that€™s because we€™re coming off four special events in seven weeks, so a five-week build to Battleground seems like eons. As a result, WWE is challenged to keep fans€™ interest piqued for another three weeks. With that in mind, let€™s take a look at some of the burning questions that need to be answered on Monday night€™s episode of WWE Raw.

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
