8 Devastating Moves Watered Down In WWE

7. S.O.S

Kofi Kingston has been using the S.O.S as a secondary move ever since arriving in World Wrestling Entertainment. You’ll know what it is, but in truth the move is fairly difficult to describe. It is something like a modified Russian leg sweep, albeit one where the individual performing the move does a front flip in the process.

Kofi’s version is a fairly slowed down version of what is called a Ranhei, a move innovated by Japanese wrestler Madoka. Madoka’s version is far more intense, and needless to say it would be a more than acceptable finishing move if Kofi used it in such a fashion.

As it is, Kofi’s watered down S.O.S will rarely be more than a signature move.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
