8 Epic Wrestling Matches That Would Be Better If They Happened Now

7. Jeff Hardy Vs. Matt Hardy

The Hardy Boyz may have had success as a tag team and as singles wrestlers, but when it's been time for them to feud with each other, the results have usually underwhelmed. A brief program following Matt teasing a heel turn in 2001 went nowhere, and when Matt did turn on Jeff in 2009, their bouts weren't anything special.

The exception to the rule came in TNA, when Jeff "broke" Matt by beating him in a match, resulting in Matt's new character and "The Final Deletion." After years, Matt had finally found a character that made him the more talked about of The Hardyz, and when Jeff joined his Broken Family, his career was similarly refreshed.

Unfortunately, TNA in 2016 was far from wrestling's grandest stage. The pair returned to WWE in 2017 as a tandem, but their ultimate dissolution came as a result of injury, not enmity. Matt's career came perilously close to ending last summer, but now he's back in action, the company seem content to maximise one last nostalgia run, with the Boyz better together than apart.
