6. Money In The Bank: Chris Jericho

In the kayfabe world, Chris Jericho - frustrated that he didn't have anything to do at WrestleMania 21 - pitched the Money in the Bank concept to Raw general manager Eric Bischoff, and voila. The rest is history.

And that, by all accounts, is pretty much exactly how it went down in the real world too (except that it was actual boss of Raw Vince McMahon, not his on-screen counterpart Bischoff, who gave him the green-light).

Jericho essentially came up with the idea so that he, alongside fellow upper-mid-carders like Chris Benoit, Kane, Shelton Benjamin, and Christian, would always have a fall-back option heading into the biggest show of the year.

He originally suggested that the winner be given a title shot the very next night on Raw, though, and it was Vince who added the 12-month rule.
