This one is a bit sketchy, only because there have been so many voices chiming in on it.

In her book, Chyna said that Jeff Jarrett was paid an extra $300,000 to put her over at No Mercy 1999 in a 'Good Housekeeping' match. That's not how The Wrestling Observer reported it. According to Dave Meltzer, the real figure was between $100,000-200,000, and was "was probably a higher number, significantly so, than he would have eventually received under normal circumstances".

Other sources (mainly social media commentators and online opinion pieces) have cited $500,000 as the amount Jarrett received for one night's work in October '99. Whatever the genuine number is, it seems it definitely ranged between 100K-500K, and it was quite the payday for someone on a mid card deal.

The incredible thing here is how Jeff got his money. As per the Observer, he wanted to secure unpaid monies before departing for WCW, and so he held Vince McMahon up for it by stating he wouldn't work his match unless assurances were made.

Jarrett then went on to snare a $400,000 per annum deal with WCW.
