8 Most Memorable WWE Father/Son Moments

7. Kane & Paul Bearer

This might not be a real father/son combo, but then this isn't a real sport, and frankly, this isn't a real holiday, so let's not quibble.

There were hints of a familial tenderness between the taciturn Undertaker and his ghastly manager Paul Bearer long before the world became aware of their cold-bloodline, with vignettes frequently showing father-son bonding sessions such as carpentry and, er, 'hide-and-seek'.

Bearer's fatherly affections, it turned out, came from a place of secret surrogacy. After 'Taker fell out with his manager - some drama over being hit on the bonce with an urn - Bearer revealed that his former charge had a brother. At Badd Blood '97, little Kane Undertaker tore the cell door off and exacted revenge on a sibling who'd supposedly left him to die in a house fire when children.

Like all good episodes of Jeremy Kyle, it ended in a DNA test some months later, as it was dramatically unveiled that Paul Bearer was not just Kane's great mate, but in fact, his biological father. Unfortunately, his son was a bit of a useless pro-wrestler, and it wasn't long before the nefarious coffin carrier hitched his hearse back onto The Undertaker.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
