8 Reasons WWE Should Offer Carlito More Money To Return

He spits in the face of people who don't offer him a good enough deal.

WWE are currently enjoying quite the nostalgia kick, with Sting, Chris Jericho, and the Dudley Boyz all competing at the recent Night of Champions PPV. Several ex-superstars have also been linked with a comeback in recent weeks - none more so than Carlito, who reportedly turned down a deal a few days ago, due to the money being offered. The former US Champion spent seven years with the company - including a short stint in the developmental system - and left a mark thanks to his naturally heelish persona and nimble in-ring style. His WWE career was criminally cut short when he was released in 2010 for a violation of the Wellness Program, and returned to World Wrestling Council, his father's Puerto Rico promotion. Now that a connection between Carlito and the WWE have at least been reestablished, fans could well see the Bad Apple saunter onto Raw or Smackdown in the near future. He certainly still has a lot to offer.

8. Nostalgia Is A Key Tool

At this moment in time, WWE are relying more upon nostalgia than at any point in their history. One just needs to look at the recent emphasis placed upon stars such as The Rock, Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, Triple H, Sting, Chris Jericho and the Dudley Boyz for evidence. Although nobody is claiming that Carlito ranks among these all-time greats in terms of influence, he still brings back memories of a more enjoyable, recent period. He will be remembered by a large number of fans, and could refresh a rapidly stagnating midcard.
