No disrespect to The Undertaker meant – the man still terrifies grown adults just by walking into a room – but The Deadman is nowhere near as physically fit as he was ten or twenty years ago. He’s not even in the same shape he was back when he wrestled Brock, and that was a fairly plodding affair all things considered.

His strikes and movements at the Royal Rumble were shambling and frankly hard to watch, and while his character is still second to none, it’s obvious that The Undertaker’s days of being able to keep up with younger stars are numbered.

Sure, people have been predicting The Undertaker’s retirement for years, only to be proven wrong, but there’s only so much fight left in the 52 year old before his performance stop being exciting, and start to get a little sad.

The Undertaker has been plagued by hip troubles for years now, and it seems as though his most recent surgery led to what fans perceived to be a more sluggish performance than is normal for The Deadman at this year's Royal Rumble event. He was even seen on crutches as recently as September 2016, further lending credence to rumours that The Undertaker’s health is finally catching up with him.
