8 Things WWE Must Do To Make Paige A Star

You now know who she is. This time, we're gonna make her a star. Exactly one week ago, I posted THIS article elucidating Saraya-Jade Bevis, her past and how she got here. I would like to thank everyone who took the time to respond- for the most part, y'all were overwhelmingly positive and supportive of her debut and optimistic for her future. However, there were a few people whom expressed their, equally valid, skepticism. In fact, as tends to be the way with most scripted media, once a day or two had passed and the initial surprise and novelty of her debut had worn off, the voice opposite of my own- expressing doubt about her potential and/or merit for the hyperbole that she has received- only seemed to grow louder with each passing day. We've seen it before. X person or entity debuts, there's a tremendous buzz surrounding their debut, articles get written, discussion had and before you know it people like me have served to whip up an expectation for her immediate future that was just never meant to be realised. So. Which will it be this time? Are we looking at a new Chris Jericho or are we looking at a new Nexus? The freshman year of a WWE talent's career has come to be the most pivotal. Done correctly, you get The Shield: 3 guys perfectly positioned to be major stars for years to come. Done incorrectly, you get Ryback: destined to fizzle away into obscure mediocrity. With Paige, WWE has successfully managed to debut a female talent in a way which has interested people, the likes of which we haven't seen in years. Already people are asking: who is this girl? What's so special about her? Why is she champion? Off of the back of this, how WWE handles her over the next 12 months is crucial to her success- or indeed, lack thereof it. Following such a high profile debut, WWE now has a very limited time to convince people she is worthy of exactly that. They need to strike a chord in fans that has always existed but- until recently- was never even considered to be tried. I have devised 8 major strategies WWE can take to turn this upstart girl, whom has everyone at least slightly interested, into a superstar. Note I said "superstar". Not "Diva". That is critical. Whatever you might think, there is a place in WWE for Divas but now it's also a time for a new branch of female performer to emerge. One or warriorism. One of athleticism. The Ronda Rouseys of professional wrestling. These are the girls that draw... and Paige is the prototype.

Betting on being a brilliant brother to Bodhi since 2008 (-1 Asian Handicap). Find me @LiamJJohnson on Twitter where you might find some wonderful pearls of wisdom in a stout cocktail of profanity, football discussion and general musings. Or you might not. Depends how red my eyes are.
