Let’s dive right into the biggest news that came out of Monday Night Raw, and no, it isn’t Ariya Daivari facing Akira Tozawa in a rematch on 205 Live.

It was revealed that Kurt Angle unknowingly fathered a child in college and only recently came to learn of him. Because this is TV, it turns out that the child became a professional wrestler and works for WWE, so Angle brought him to Raw on Monday.

This storyline will either make fans smile that the company is using one of its most popular superstars to give a rub to an up-and-coming wrestler, or it will tick them off at the soap-operatic nature of it and worry that it’s just way too much to be remotely believable. While it could provide a big boost to the son, it could also backfire big-time by putting him in Angle’s shadow.

Some will hate this reveal, some will love it, and others will have mixed feelings. Beyond that, Raw delivered a couple really nice matches, set the table for next week’s Raw, and actually developed some characters, most notably Big Cass, Akira Tozawa, Elias Samson and the Revival.

Once again, we saw Roman Reigns in the mix for a top spot, and once again, WWE preferred to dip its toe in the water rather than take the plunge. One day, perhaps, and hopefully before WrestleMania.

Let’s find out who has Olympic gold in his bloodline, and whose name is mud. Let’s get to it…

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
