On the heels of a lackluster WrestleMania and a raucous post-Mania Raw, WWE soldiered on Monday night and began building toward the next PPV, Payback. Thankfully, we saw some solid development for the upcoming PPV rather than reflecting backward on Mania.

Raw gave us a new #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship and a tournament to crown a new #1 contender for the Tag Team Championships. It also gave us a match to potentially add another person to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at Payback. And Raw also gave us a Women€™s Championship match. That€™s a pretty packed program.

But that wasn€™t all. Raw also saw the debut of Karl Anderson andLuke Gallows, one of the most dominant tag teams in New Japan and the remaining members of the New Japan signings a few months ago. Their impactful debut immediately raised questions and speculation about whether they will be partnered with AJ Styles or Finn Balor, which is a fun guessing game for the time being.

Oh, and Raw was led once again by Shane McMahon, apparently getting another shot at holding the reigns because Twitter said so. No, seriously. Somewhere, Undertaker is sitting at home with an ice pack on his shoulder wondering why the hell he showed up at WrestleMania last week.

So what dazzled the crowd and what got psycho-analyzed by Dr. Phil? Let€™s get to it

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
