8 Wrestlers Who Worked Through Ridiculous Injuries

6. The Undertaker - Concussion

There was a palpable sense of disbelief in New Orleans' Superdome when Brock Lesnar emphatically ended The Undertaker's vaunted 'Streak' at WrestleMania XXX. Paradoxically, part of the incredulity inspiring conceit was that everybody in attendance knew the defeat was fictional; had they been hoodwinked by the work, the fall of the Phenom would have seemed perfectly sensible.

That said, it wasn't an actual part of that work that made the The Undertaker a Deadman walking. About five minutes into the contest, 'Taker was sent crashing to the floor on the outside, and unable to protect himself - his arms were currently pummeling Brock before he was caught by surprise - he smashed flat onto the back of his head. He then spent the next 20 minutes of the contest wandering around in a stupor like RVD on 20 April.

After the match, WWE revealed Undertaker had suffered a 'severe concussion'. He cut an understandably feeble figure as he eventually stumbled into a third F5, bringing the streak came to a close. Were this a real fight, the outcome would never have been in question.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
