9 Biggest Liars In WWE History

As StoneCold used to say, "D.T.A, Don't trust anybody"

Wrestling is a lie. That may sound harsh -- everybody knows wrestling is scripted, the outcomes predetermined, but a lie? The fact is, the current state of wrestling -- where its largest organization good-naturedly (and sometimes defensively) acknowledges that everything is just a performance -- is a relatively recent development. Wrestling's roots come from the sleazy world of the carnival, and many of the slang terms it got from its origin are still in use today, reinforcing a culture of deception. Want proof? The word "mark," which has come to be a less-than-respectful term that wrestlers use for fans, came from the carnival and means "an object of derision, scorn, manipulation, or the like." Essentially, it means we're the targets of lies. Still, some wrestlers (and many promoters) go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to bending the truth. Some are looking to protect their legacies, some are looking to protect their jobs, and sometimes, some are looking to protect their safety -- whatever the case, they've gotten reputations for being completely untrustworthy, and that's something that hurts in any field. In a business that lends itself to the telling of tall tales, here are 9 wrestling personalities whom Jerry Lawler wouldn't trust if their tongues were notarized.
