Live crowds returned to AEW Dynamite this week, with the promotion welcoming a small number of spectators into Daily's Place's upper tiers for Tag Team Appreciation night, as pointed out by the announcers at the top of the show.

Social distancing measures were reportedly followed. Everyone caught on camera appeared to be wearing a mask, though the angles from which they were shot made it impossible to tell how far apart they were from each other. It's hard not to feel at least a little anxious about this, given the ongoing health crisis' severity, though their presence added an extra layer of noise to proceedings, making Dynamite feel more alive.

The show itself was a step down from last week. The highs were less pronounced and while fewer in number, the biggest lows were genuinely harmful. A solid broadcast all-round, nonetheless, though we've come to expect more on Wednesday nights.

Tag Team Appreciation night brought guest spots for the Rock N' Roll Express, who joined Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard, FTR, and The Young Bucks. Cody defended his new-look TNT Championship opposite Scorpio Sky, Kenny Omega and Hangman Page put the tag belts on the line against Jurassic Express, and Chris Jericho finally settled his beef with Orange Cassidy... or did he?

Let's light the fuse...
