9 WTF Moments From WWE SmackDown (Jan 31)

John Cena might not be the only one falling asleep before WrestleMania 33...

As if it wasn't enough of a WTF moment that John Cena vs. Randy Orton was set up for WrestleMania 33 at the Royal Rumble, those creative cretins have scheduled the match for next week's SmackDown. That's right, the proposed 'Mania main event will take place ahead of time.

Who's writing this stuff, Dixie Carter? It certainly isn't Eric Bischoff, that damn handsome 'Easy E' once showed remarkable restraint and waited a whole year before giving away his biggest match. Sure, he did give away Goldberg vs. Hollywood Hogan for free on Nitro, but let's not split hairs here.

What are WWE playing at by announcing Cena vs. Orton (in a non-title match, mind you) for SmackDown? If there's any logic left in this (WWE) universe, the match won't even happen and this is all just an excuse to have Bray Wyatt face the poster boy instead.

That aside, this week's blue brand was actually quite straightforward. That spelled disaster for the WTF minions, because there wasn't too much wrong with the show. Curse you again, WWE! How dare you get things right!

Here are all your WTF moments from SmackDown, all 9 of them...

9. New Era, Same Old...

Jim Ross is right, that silver-tongued devil Bray Wyatt is the new Jake Roberts. Not only does he have the same mystique and ominous presence, Bray also tells the complete truth and isn't afraid of what people think.

How else could you explain him saying that the more things change in WWE, the more they stay the same on this week's SmackDown? This was just another way of saying that even though it's a new era, we're still seeing the same old things.
