Adam Cole Defends ROH World Title At WCPW Edinburgh

Cole to take on Jay Lethal and El Ligero in a triple threat bout.

What Culture Pro Wrestling is pleased to announce that three-time Ring of Honor World Champion Adam Cole is coming to WCPW Edinburgh to defend his championship against Jay Lethal and El Ligero in a triple threat match.

The match marks Cole's WCPW debut, but not the first time the ROH World Championship has been put on the line in a WCPW ring. Last summer, then-champion Lethal defended the title against Ligero in a scintillating singles match that won widespread acclaim. Though Ligero came up short, he won Lethal's respect, and the champion promised the challenger that he could get another shot at the title. Soon afterwards, though, Lethal's 14-month reign came to an end at the hands of Cole - and Bullet Club.

Cole's arrival in WCPW changes what was originally booked as a singles rematch between Lethal and Ligero. Now, the former ROH World Champion has a chance to reclaim his title, while the UK independent standout can claim the biggest victory of his entire career.

WCPW Edinburgh will be held at the Meadowbank Sports Centre on Sunday, January 29. Also confirmed for the show are WCPW Champion Drew Galloway defending his title against Joe Hendry, and the WCPW return of Moose.
