On top of All Elite Wrestling announcing that the AEW World
Championship will be defended live on the third episode of its weekly TNT show,
now comes word that the company’s Women’s World Championship will be defending
on that same night.
AEW’s TNT debut on Wednesday, October 2nd will see the first
ever AEW Women’s World Champion crowned – although the competitors for that
match have yet to be determined.
At this month’s All Out PPV, 21 women will compete in a
Casino Battle Royal where the winner of
that match will move on to AEW’s TNT premiere to challenge for the
Women’s World Championship. Right now, though, it has yet to be revealed
how the other person in that October 2nd bout will be determined.
Likewise, the AEW Women’s World Championship has yet to be
officially unveiled – although that will be debuted during the All Out PPV.
Taking place on August 31st, that All Out show will see
Chris Jericho and ‘Hangman’ Adam Page battle for the AEW World Championship,
while Kenny Omega will square off against Jon Moxley, Cody goes up against
Shawn Spears, and The Young Bucks face The Lucha Brothers.
