Chris Jericho has claimed that production on his and MJF’s showy ‘Le Dinner Debonair’ segment wasn’t finished until a mere 22 minutes before the skit aired on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

Speaking to the live crowd after Dynamite had finished (h/t Fightful for the transcription), Jericho said the following:-

"If you only knew what we went through to get that up on-air. Basically, we had that ready to go about 22 minutes before it aired and we filmed last night until about 2 AM. You never know what’s going to happen on live TV but you buckle up, get the job done, put on a great show, and make sure you guys have fun."

‘Le Dinner Debonair’ was comfortably the most talked-about thing on this week’s show. It was as close to full-blown musical theatre as professional wrestling may ever get, but stayed true to the storyline with its peacocking and one-upsmanship, drawing a largely positive response from the fanbase (though the critics were certainly passionate).

Online interest did not translate to a spike in viewership, however, as the relevant quarter-hour viewership declined from 749,000 to 676,000.
