Professional wrestling viewerships remain in the toilet during the ongoing global health crisis, though AEW Dynamite scored another victory over WWE NXT in the Wednesday Night Wars.

In terms of average viewership, Dynamite increased 7% from the previous week's 654,000 to come in at 701,000 across its two hours. NXT, meanwhile, fell from 604,000 to 592,000 - a drop of 2%, making for the show's lowest total since 1 April.

As always, what really matters here is the key 18-49 demographic. AEW trounced WWE here. Dynamite's 0.26 rating was double NXT's 0.13, as the black-and-gold brand drifts closer and closer to increasingly dangerous territory.

Per Dave Meltzer, 18-49 numbers are down by a very similar figure across the board:-

It's clear that the figures can't be expected to truly rebound until the global situation has subsided, though this is by no means guaranteed.

As far as individual quarter-hours go, with the night's biggest winner was Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander vs. Britt Baker and Nyla Rose, which gained 47,000 viewers for Dynamite. The AEW show also played host to the biggest ratings loser, Shawn Spears' news vignette, which lost 57,000 people.
