AEW To Go Head-To-Head With WWE NXT's Halloween Havoc Go-Home Episode

Tuesday 18 October looks set to be an interesting night for wrestling fans.

With NXT's upcoming Halloween Havoc special looming large on the horizon, the brand's go-home episode to that show will find itself having direct head-to-head competition with a special Tuesday night episode of AEW Dynamite.

Tony Khan appeared to the crowd at Arthur Ashe Stadium and confirmed not only will Dynamite air on the same Tuesday 18 October date as the final NXT episode before Halloween Havoc, but that fans will also get a huge AEW World Championship match on that night.

From Jason Solomon of the ever-great Solomonster Sounds Off podcast, who was in attendance at Arthur Ashe:

In terms of said AEW Title bout, Jon Moxley is once again in possession of the promotion's top prize after besting Bryan Danielson on last night's Grand Slam edition of Dynamite. Should Mox still be AEW Champion on 18 October, he'll face the winner of the Golden Ticket Battle Royal that will air on this coming Friday's episode of Rampage.

Given how this week's Rampage was taped directly after Dynamite last night, full spoilers for that show - including the winner of the aforementioned Battle Royal - can be found here.

This change in schedule for AEW can be put down to TBS' coverage of the MLB play-offs, although some fans will point out how Tony Khan is likely relishing the chance to go head-to-head with NXT - particularly given his recent post-All Out rant about how WWE had the temerity to run both Clash at the Castle and NXT Worlds Collide on the same weekend as All Out.

That Tuesday 18 October episode of Dynamite will take place from Cincinnati, Ohio's Heritage Bank Center. As for Halloween Havoc, this year's outing for the event takes place on Saturday 22 October from the confines of the WWE Performance Center.
