AEW are looking to revive many of the great traditions of Southern 'rasslin', such as blood and (admittedlt accidental) unprotected chairshots, and you can now add 'managers' to that list.

According to Fightful Select, top heel Shawn Spears, who waylaid Cody at Fyter Fest with a vicious steel chair to the head, is set to get his very own advocate in the months leading up to August's huge All Out event.

We don't know the identity of Spears' second at present, though the plans are expected to become official on this week's episode of 'Road To'.

Spears, formerly known as Tye Dillinger in WWE, made his AEW debut as part of Double or Nothing's pre-show battle royal back in May. He signed a contract shortly after, his first full time appearance coming with his vicious assault on Cody. Supposedly, the one-time 'Perfect 10' took umbrage with his former pal dismissively describing him as a 'good hand'.

The pair will meet one on one at All Out at Hoffman Estates' Sears Centre on 31 August.

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
