AJ Styles Confirms He Has Signed A New WWE Contract

Details are scarce, but 'The Phenomenal One' is going nowhere.

It's official: AJ Styles is staying with WWE.

'The Phenomenal One' broke the news in nonchalant fashion last night, casually dropping the announcement in a tweet introducing his family's new puppy to the world:-

This follows on from yesterday's PWInsider report stating that Styles and WWE had come to terms on a new deal, and that AJ was being advertised for the post-WrestleMania 35 European tour, the material for which hinted at a feud with United States Champion Samoa Joe.

Styles re-signing is no great surprise. There had been talk of interest from All Elite Wrestling, but the former WWE Champion never truly looked like jumping ship. He is comfortable, happy, and settled under Vince McMahon's umbrella, and while AEW almost certainly did everything in their power to try and tempt him over, Styles staying with WWE was always the likeliest outcome.

There's currently no word on the terms of AJ's new deal, with neither Styles nor PWInsider offering any indication of how long he has re-signed for. Regardless, he has been a huge part of WWE programming since arriving in January 2016, and there's no reason to believe this won't continue through his new deal.
