AJ Styles Reveals Which NXT Star He'd Love To Face
It could happen soon!
AJ Styles has revealed in a chat with WrestleZone Radio that if he could face anyone from WWE's developmental brand NXT, he'd love to step into the ring with EC3.
In an interview with Kevin Kellam promoting next week's SmackDown live event in Chicago, Styles explained his intrigued at facing 'The Top 1%' who is due to be called up to the main roster imminently, stating:-
"I’ve never been in the ring with EC3 before, so that will be fun to see a match with him. But, there are several that are coming up through NXT shortly, and there’s a number of them that I could have amazing matches with."
The former WWE Champion also discussed the reason why, in a year punctuated for him by low blows, he doesn't wear a cup. Styles explained he's not a fan of them since playing baseball in his youth, because it gets in the way. AJ continued:-

"If I wore one now, and I did a splash and missed, how would that feel? There are things that could happen in a match that this whole cup thing could actually hurt me. Just sayin’. I don’t need to have any more kids anyway."
