An explosive episode of WWE Raw culminated with AJ Styles turning heel on Ricochet last night, reforming his partnership with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows in the process.

Recent weeks have seen AJ prodding at Gallows and Anderson for their constant failings. Last night, the tables were turned, with the follically-challenged duo pointing out the difficult Styles had defeating Ricochet on the previous week's show, as Anderson claimed he didn't think his old buddy could beat the 'One and Only' for the United States Title.

Later, a backstage confrontation between Ricochet and Styles got heated, culminating in the duo slapping each other. They then wrestled in the main event. AJ won at the first attempt, but the bout was restarted as Ricochet was pinned with his foot beneath the bottom rope. The champ then retained after the rematch, and with Gallows and Anderson saying they wanted to see "the real AJ," Styles snapped, beating the United States Champion down.

A Styles Clash off the top rope finished him off, and Raw closed with the reunited Club throwing up Too Sweet.

A well-executed angle and a much-needed reboot for AJ. Let's hope it pans out.
