Alberto Del Rio Suffers Concussion, World Title Match At WWE No Way Out in Doubt

WWE spent Friday trying to figure out alternatives in case Del Rio is pulled from the pay-per-view.

WWE officials fear that Alberto Del Rio suffered a concussion during Tuesday night's SmackDown tapings in Columbia, South Carolina. With concerns that Del Rio still hasn't recovered fully from surgery on the groin tear he suffered last night, WWE made the decision to pull Del Rio out of last night's SmackDown live event in Salisbury, Maryland. Del Rio's concussion likely came when Sheamus slammed Del Rio's head against the metal WWE logo on the show. He is now a big doubt for the June 17th WWE No Way Out pay-per-view where he is currently set to compete against World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus in one of the title main events. WWE spent Friday trying to figure out alternatives in case Del Rio is pulled from the pay-per-view. Whilst none of the alternatives have leaked, we have to imagine the only sensible thing to do would be to put Dolph Ziggler in the match given he is the best worker in the company not on the No Way Out card yet and given his storyline for a singles push. Perhaps they will run one of those infamous Battle Royals they do on next week's SmackDown to figure out a replacement. If it's not Ziggler then I struggle to see who it could be. Here's the card as it stands for WWE No Way Out;
Steel Cage Match Big Show vs. John Cena WWE Title Match Daniel Bryan vs. Kane vs. CM Punk World Heavyweight Title Match Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio WWE Intercontinental Title Match Cody Rhodes vs. Christian
