Another Talent Quietly Leaves AEW

Another split from the AEW talent pool.

Kayla Rossi is done with All Elite Wrestling, having finished with the company prior to her managerial client Joey Janela's own departure.

Fightful Select reported that Rossi had never been signed to a full-time deal with the promotion. She had been offered a trainee's deal prior to being let go but ultimately declined, which is why she is no longer with the promotion.

Rossi never wrestled for AEW. Instead, she served as Janela's manager for his Dark and Dark: Elevation appearances from September 2021 onwards, engaging only in a handful of physical spots during her tenure. People with knowledge of the situation believe that she has considered taking independent wrestling dates, though nothing has been formally announced for her.

A bodybuilder and professional trainer, Rossi had been training at the AEW-affiliated Nightmare Factory prior to and during her run with the promotion. She gained social media traction when footage of her training started doing the rounds prior to her debut alongside Janela.

16 March saw Joey state that he would not be re-signing with AEW upon his original three-year contract's expiration that spring. Their split became official on 1 May, when he departed alongside Marko Stunt and Jack Evans.
