Are The Dudley Boyz Bringing Back The Old WWE Tag Team Titles?

Back to the future?

WWE.com recently ran a poll asking fans which current title they would like to see redesigned. This prompted one of the company's most decorated Superstars to have his say on the matter. Should he and his brother D-Von win the titles for a 10th time, Bubba Ray Dudley has revealed that he would want to see the old design - seen above - return. That is if the tag belts are even considered for a remake. As things stand, The Divas Championship - as you would expect - is currently way out in the lead with 50% of the vote, while the Tag Championships are second with 20%. https://twitter.com/BubbaRayDudley/status/683401798225391617?lang=en-gb In response to WWE's official account tweeting out the poll, Bubba replied with: "@WWE @WWEUniverse Next time we win them, we are bringing these bad boys back!!" The current bronze penny look has been in use since the WWE and World Tag Team Championships were unified in 2009. Then champions The Hart Dynasty were presented with the updated design by Bret 'The Hitman' Hart after a period of being forced to haul around two sets of belts each. Even though WWE brought in Bret to signal what a special occasion the debut of the new straps was, his appearance still failed to detract from what an eyesore they are. Seeing the classic design return would undoubtedly be a very popular decision in the eyes of the WWE Universe. Although, a potential sticking point would be taking the belts off The New Day; a booking decision that would be met with uproar by the overwhelming majority of WWE's fanbase.
