Backstage Update On Ronda Rousey's WWE Future

When will we see 'The Baddest Woman On The Planet' next?

Ronda Rousey suffered a "severely broken hand" at WrestleMania 35, ruling her out of in-ring action for an indefinite period of time and fast-tracking her expected hiatus from the company.

It was reported months ago that 'The Baddest Woman On The Planet' would be taking time off after 'Mania. Now, it looks like it'll be quite some time before we see her on WWE television again, with E Wrestling News providing a fresh update on her status earlier today.

Per the writeup, Rousey's impending absence from television probably won't be permanent, as she is under contract until 10 April 2021. She has often spoken on her desire to start a family with husband Travis Browne, but should return (possibly in a part-time capacity a la John Cena/Brock Lesnar) whether that happens or not.

The Raw after WrestleMania was originally scheduled to be Ronda's last WWE appearance before her leave of absence. This was cancelled when Rousey broke her hand, and there's no word on whether or not she'll be seen again before taking time off.

It'll be interesting to see who steps up in Rousey's absence, with Lacey Evans seemingly elevated to contender's status on this week's TV.
