Dave Meltzer has reported on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that Sasha Banks' injury may not be as bad as first feared. Initial reports suggested that The Boss may be out for up to six months, but Banks reportedly won't be needing surgery and as such will only miss one or two months of action. She is currently being advertised for WWE live events from September 23rd onwards.

Meltzer also stated that Bayley, who made her RAW debut this past Monday, wasn't originally supposed to be thrust straight into the Women's Championship picture. Bayley immediately stated her desire to go after Charlotte's newly-won Women's Championship, going on to win her debut match against Charlotte's protégé Dana Brooke.

With Banks' injury not as bad as originally feared, it'll be interesting to see if WWE continues to move ahead with a Charlotte vs. Bayley program for the title. Bayley's reactions on the main roster to date (on RAW and at Battleground) suggest that she'll continue to be astronomically popular, and the long-term money may well be in a Bayley/Sasha feud for WrestleMania 33.

Either way, here's wishing Sasha Banks a speedy recovery.
