Vince McMahon was backstage at NXT Takeover Brooklyn, and NXT Women's Champion Bayley has revealed his reaction to her match with Sasha Banks. "After the match, Vince McMahon shook both our hands. Everyone was giving us hugs. Triple H, Stephanie and even my favourite Diva, Lita, were there to say how proud they were of us. It was just amazing. Bayley told wwe.com. What's interesting about that, is Vince rarely ever sees NXT. He has watched only a handful on NXT shows in the past year. It is also interesting, because he traditionally doesn't see value in women's matches. By the sounds of it, his perception may be changing. He must have been impressed with the critical and commercial performance of the Takeover show in Brooklyn. As for the Banks versus Bayley match, it was easily one of WWE's best matches of 2015. Even Vince must have been able to see that. It is a good thing that the WWE Chairman and CEO is now seeing the value of the NXT brand. However, one worry is that the more NXT takes off, the more Vince will want to take control of it, just like he did with WWE ECW a decade ago. The future of NXT in some ways has never been more uncertain, as it goes from a developmental brand into a fully fledged touring show.
