Bayley pinned Charlotte Flair to become WWE Raw Women's Champion for the very first time in Las Vegas last night.

It was her third shot at the belt, with her latest effort coming two weeks ago at the Royal Rumble, and it came following a spirited performance.

Charlotte vs. Bayley has been advertised all week, and the match delivered. While not as wild and out of control as some of Charlotte's wars with Sasha Banks, the match as on par with anything the Women's Revolution produced in 2016 in terms of quality.

The returning Dana Brooke interfered, but it backfired. Banks arrived to take care of Charlotte's protege then strike the champion while the referee's back was turned, and for the fourth time in her career, Charlotte lost her Championship on weekly television.

It's a big moment for Bayley, who was made to wait patiently as Charlotte and Sasha resolved their months-long feud. She had the crowd completely in the palm of her hand last night, but how will she react to Banks hitting Charlotte? The crux of her challenge was that she wanted to prove herself on her own, and there could be trouble on the horizon for her and Sasha.
