Bad news for people who hate four-hour shows...

Four-hour pay-per-views may soon become the norm in WWE following the company's switch to co-branded shows.

This is according to PWInsider.com, who are reporting that the promotion plan on extending their events as a means of filling the card with as much talent as possible. They have already reached out to several international broadcast partners, including the UK's SkyTV, to inform them that PPVs will now start at 7pm EST - starting with June 17th's Money In The Bank.

Kickoff Shows will presumably begin at 6pm, with four-hour main cards becoming the norm. Fans are used to such durations when it comes to shows like WrestleMania and the Royal Rumble, but now, even Backlash and Extreme Rules will become marathons.

How WWE would accommodate their massive roster with less pay-per-view time became a problem as soon as it was announced Raw and SmackDown would no longer have their own shows. It was initially rumoured that they'd work around this by booking swathes of multi-person bouts, which they may still do, but for now, it looks like they're taking alternative methods.

WWE's first dual-brand PPV, Backlash, ran for 3 hours 25 minutes on May 6th. Prepare yourselves for more.
